Privacy Policy
Effective May 1, 2026
This policy describes how the LineTime apps for Disneyland and Disney World (together, "LineTime" or "the app") handle your information. LineTime is built and operated by Sam Dawes, a sole independent developer.
LineTime is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Walt Disney Company, Disney Enterprises, Inc., or their subsidiaries.
What we collect
On your device only
Your favorited rides and your in-app preferences (such as appearance and height filter) are stored on your device. They are not synced to our servers, and uninstalling the app removes them.
Sent to our backend
When you set up a wait-time alert, we store the alert (which ride and the threshold you chose) along with the push notification token assigned to your device. The push token is what allows us to deliver the notification; it is not linked to your name, email, or any other identity. Alerts are same-day only and are automatically deleted at the end of each day; you can also remove them in the app at any time.
Anonymous usage analytics
We log anonymous events to understand how the app is used: which screens you open, which rides you view, what searches you run (queries are truncated to 100 characters), what filters you apply, your subscription tier, and aggregate counts such as how many favorites or alerts you have. These events describe an anonymous device — there is no account, email, or name associated with them.
Advertising
The free tier of LineTime shows ads via Google AdMob. iOS asks you whether to allow tracking via the App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you allow tracking, your iOS Advertising Identifier (IDFA) is shared with the ad provider for personalized ads; if you don't, only ads that do not rely on tracking are shown.
Purchases
LineTime+ subscriptions are processed by Apple via the App Store. We receive the resulting subscription state (active or not, tier, billing frequency); we do not receive payment details, your name, or your Apple ID.
What we don't collect
- Your name, email address, or password — there is no sign-up or login
- Your location
- Camera, photos, contacts, microphone, or calendar
Third parties
LineTime relies on Google services (operated by Google LLC). We use Google's Firebase platform for anonymous device authentication, ride and wait-time data storage (Cloud Firestore), delivery of push notifications (Cloud Messaging), backend functions for alert setup, image hosting (Cloud Storage), and abuse prevention (App Check). We use Google Analytics for Firebase for the anonymous analytics described above, Google AdMob for ads in the free tier, and the Google User Messaging Platform to present the ad consent prompt. Data handled by these services is governed by Google's privacy terms.
LineTime+ purchases are handled by Apple Inc. under Apple's privacy terms.
Your choices
- Push notifications: turn on or off in iOS Settings. Existing alerts can be removed inside the app, and any remaining alerts are cleared automatically at the end of the day.
- Ad tracking: change your decision anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or via the in-app consent prompt.
- Delete your data: favorites and preferences live on your device — uninstalling the app removes them. Notification alerts are deleted automatically at the end of each day. For any other questions about your data, email support@linetime.app.
Children
LineTime is rated 4+ in the App Store and is suitable for all ages, but it is not primarily directed at children and is not part of the App Store's Kids Category. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app and we have collected information about them, please email us and we'll delete it.
Parents and guardians: the free tier of LineTime contains ads from third parties. The LineTime+ subscription removes ads if you would prefer an ad-free experience for a child user.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top of the page reflects the current version. Material changes will be noted in the app.
